Heating advice

A recently constructed ceramic tiled stove or fireplace must only be heated gradually. So we should start the heating with 3-4 kg of wood for the first time and 4-5 kg of wood for the second time, etc.

On the first five occassions, the door must not be closed, not even after the burnt-down.

After the fifth occasion, when all the flames have gone out and there are only the glowing embers (so-called "white embers") left in our stove, the door have to be closed airtight.

If we do not wish to use our recently constructed stove right now, then we just have to make sure that its door is left open all the time.
